MSU Matchbox Art
Letterpress and Risograph Print
This matchbox art is a farewell piece reflecting my time at MSU, combining personal memories, campus landmarks, and school spirit into a compact visual archive. It features Spartan imagery, “Est. 1855,” “Go Green. Go White.,” Beaumont Tower, the Breslin Center, and an MSU pennant, along with photos of friends, my freshman and sophomore year dorm, and a “286” reference to my house number.
A “Greetings from East Lansing” image of downtown and letterpressed words like “Sparty,” “East Lansing,” “MI,” and “State” further ground the work in place and identity. Using MSU green and black across risograph and letterpress layers, the piece brings together different print processes to form a layered tribute to my experience at MSU.
