Recipe Bingo is an interactive system designed to help users discover new recipes and expand their culinary routines in an engaging and motivating way. The project began by identifying a user need: helping busy individuals like Rileigh diversify their meals while keeping the process simple, playful, and goal-oriented. We then developed a strategy for how to meet this need through an interactive, trackable system.

The design process started with extensive sketching and wireframing, ranging from low-fidelity concepts to high-fidelity wireframes, refining layout, hierarchy, and interaction flow at each stage. Once the high-fidelity wireframe reached a strong stage, we created a mood board and a comprehensive design system to guide the visual direction. This included color palette, typeface, type size, hierarchy, iconography, and overall interface style, ensuring cohesion and usability across the platform.

In-class critiques provided valuable feedback, allowing us to refine both the interface and visual design to their best possible form. Users can now fill bingo boards with recipes they want to try, mark completed recipes with photos, and track progress, making exploration of new meals both motivating and enjoyable. The warm, energetic palette of blacks, reds, pinks, and oranges, combined with thoughtful typography and iconography, balances playfulness with clarity, resulting in a cohesive, accessible, and visually engaging experience.
